A pastor from Bomet County was arrested in Kisii while trying to board a Matatu to Kisumu, accompanied by a 17-year-old Form four student.
The under-age Student , who attends Ngererit Secondary School in Bomet, had been reported missing to the local Police Station in the North Rift County by her relatives.

Acting on a trip from Matatu Five Star Sacco drivers at Kisii bus terminal, the police apprehended the pair. They had received information that the 25-year- old pastor, identified as Kipkoech Rotich, was seen with the girl while boarding a different vehicle bound for Kisumu.
According to report, the pastor had been invited to Ngererit Secondary School to deliver sermons. Afterward, he fled with the girl, and they had been evading the police since then.
The pair was arrested and is currently held at Nyanchwa Police Station. They will soon be transferred to Mogogosiek Police Station for further actions.
