Sheriff Gonzalez mention the chance that the driver might have been playing with the gun, causing it to fire. The investigation into the exact details is still ongoing. “At this point, we’re trying to conduct the investigation. We still want to confirm some details, make sure that we are getting the full story,” Gonzalez said. “The initial story is that the driver himself was handling the pistol when it discharge. But again, that could always change. we could get additional information to determine that one of the other occupants could have discharge the weapon.” Gonzalez stated that investigators don’t have any reason to think the shot came from anywhere other than inside the vehicle.
